The World of Coins Meets in Munich

Numismatics will be an exclusive section of the Munich Show, the world's leading trade and public fair for minerals, fossils, gemstones, and jewelry, which has been established for over 60 years!

From October 23 to 25, 2026, the Munich Show will open a new chapter in numismatics. In Hall A1, a standalone “show within a show” will take shape across approximately 6,000 square meters—serving as a meeting place for coin dealers, auction houses, collectors, museums, and anyone passionate about historical coins, medals, and the history of money.

Renowned exhibitors from Germany and abroad will present special pieces, current offerings, and previews of the upcoming fall auctions. The program will be complemented by an identification and appraisal service, numismatic lectures, and the special exhibition “Through a Collector’s Eyes—The Most Beautiful Medal!” presented by the Bavarian Numismatic Society. The “Boulevard of Coins” forms the lively centerpiece of the new exhibition area.

On Friday, the event is reserved for registered dealers. On Saturday and Sunday, the numismatic section is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for collectors and the interested public. Discover the diversity of numismatics and become part of a new platform for the entire community.

The Munich Show is a wonderful platform. Its organizers understand what collectors are looking for. That’s why I’m really looking forward to the many opportunities this event will offer the numismatic community and our entire community.

Through a Collector's Eyes: The Most Beautiful Medal!

What makes a medal a truly personal favorite? The special exhibition “Through a Collector’s Eyes: The Most Beautiful Medal!” presented by the Bavarian Numismatic Society showcases selected medals from antiquity to the modern era in the new numismatics section of the Munich Show. Collectors showcase outstanding pieces from their private collections and explain what particularly fascinates them about them—whether it’s the artistic design, an extraordinary manufacturing technique, the material, the rarity, or the story behind the motif. An exhibition about the art of small-format medals and the passion for collecting.
